Co-producing Mental Health Initiatives With Student Volunteers
“Nothing about us, without us is for us” is something our student volunteers feel very passionate about. You can’t effectively provide mental health support without meaningfully engaging the people who will be using the initiatives. It is important to work with, rather than doing to people and communities to achieve lasting change. We worked with our male student volunteers across three years to co-produce mental health and wellbeing interventions to support men’s mental health at universities across the UK.
